Recently, Jay-Z and Kanye West rocked the world’s most famous arena during a pair of New York performances for their much-anticipated Watch the Throne Tour. With that, we now get a detailed look at the designer T-shirt they have been donning on stage. Riccardo Tisci was in charge of the intricate art detailing of the actual album, so in appropriate fashion, both emcees have been sporting coinciding Givenchy Watch the Throne shirts. The tees not only feature unique designs from Tisci, which highlight the project, but also welcome each artist’s initials on the sleeve.

What was supposed to be a night highlighting some of the most gorgeous women on the planet at the Lexington Avenue Armory in New York, turned into quite a guy’s affair. Kanye West, Jay-Z and Maroon 5 all took to the stage to perform as the scantily-clad Victoria’s Secret models stalked the catwalk around them. Not to be outdone by the musical impresarios, Miranda Kerr would later emerge in a 2.5 million dollar bra studded in diamonds. This was a particularly emotional moment for West, as he lost his mother just prior to being scheduled to perform at the 2007 event.

Kanye West’s | Spring/Summer Collection 2012

Speculations are never too far from Kanye West and this time around rumors over the rap superstar’s upcoming women’s line continue as Grazia Daily and nymag report. Sources believe that West began working on his own ready-to-wear line under the guidance of British knitwear designer, Louise Goldin. With the process yet to be finalized, it is rumored that the fourteen-time Grammy winner will have his line made by Central Saint Martins graduate students in Turnmills, which will be led by none other then the head of CSM’s graduate fashion program, Louise Wilson. Sources from the industry also deny that Anna Wintour or Karl Lagerfeld had any input in production, as Australian Harper’s Bazaar’s Christine Centenera is thought to be the line’s muse due to her closeness with West. The yet-to-be-revealed line also attracted global attention after sources claimed that the collection will not be ready in time for Paris Fashion Week as West’s indecisive approach makes the collection hard to materialize. It is however known that references to the Samurai, sporty garments, luxury garments and embellishments will play an important role in shaping the overall look of this highly anticipated line. Kanye West presents Spring/Summer Collection at Paris Fashion Week

It has finally been confirmed that after plenty of speculation Kanye West will in fact debut his first womenswear collection during this year’s Paris Fashion Week. This will mark West’s second crack at launching a clothing line, after his first menswear attempt with Pastelle was scrapped and never saw the light of day. The upcoming womenswear collection will be ready for this upcoming 2012 spring/summer season with an official runway time of 9:30 p.m. on October 1. Although most of the information is still kept under wraps, the collection is sure to be one of the most talked about events this season. As always, you can expect West to put in as much time, detail and creativity in the collection as we’ve come to expect from his musical endeavors.
