
California-based label Freshjive has unveiled the holiday collection video for 2011 featuring Hodgy Beats and Left Brain of MellowHype and OFWGKTA. Shot on Hodgy’s birthday, the shoot took place behind the Freshjive factory itself and is comprised of a selection of eerie and dimly-lit photographs reflecting the impoverished neighborhoods of LA, including Skid Row. Expect the resulting lookbook to be released shortly.

Highly respected Italian streetwear purveyor Slam Jam unveils its latest editorial this season, called “Portra.” This series of images feature a strong range of Japanese brands with the likes of uniform experiment, Nanamica, Junya Watanabe, UNDERCOVER, White Mountaineering and Sacai. This lookbook offers a good reference for those who seek out a mix of casual and layered fits this season.












As we jump into the cold weather season, Patta is prepping to release its initial Fall/Winter 2011 drop. The collection features a variety of items, from varsity jackets to sweaters to graphic tees and several items in between. The lineup notes very minimal branding, as is accustomed from the European brand. A launch is set to take place on November 19, through accommodating retailers, as well as Patta.nl.

Original Stussy New York tribe member Jules Gayton jumps in front of the lens for the Stussy Deluxe Fall/Winter 2011 lookbook. Born in London, the avid DJ, skateboarder and art fanatic moved to the states in the 1980’s and landed in both California and New York for school at Pepperdine University and Parsons School of Design. While in New York, Jules became a prominent downtown DJ landing resident positions at many New York hot spots such as Area, Cheetah, Tunnel and the infamous Limelight, to name a few. It was in New York that Gayton met Shawn Stussy and the longstanding relationship with Stussy began. Gayton was a fixture in Stussy ads and DJ’ed for Stussy World Tribe parties in both Tokyo (with Tribe members Hiroshi Fujiwara, Alex Baby and Michael Koppelman) and New York. In 2001, Jules moved from New York to Hawaii where he opened his shop Leilow in 2003. He is also a partner in the fourth US Stussy boutique, Stussy Honolulu which was opened in 2004.
